Off and running in Japan!
A pleasing start to my stint in Japan as I rode two winners, one in a maiden and the other in a newcomers race. One for Mr Yoshida of Northern Farm and the other for Sunday Racing which was really good as they are two high profile owners in Japan.
I had no winners unfortunately on Sunday but this weekend ahead looks to be another busy one with what could potentially be up to twenty rides across Saturday and Sunday. We have the Group 1 Mile Championship this weekend and I ride Persian Knight who won the race two years ago and was second in it last year so hopefully he should have an excellent chance. He is five years old now so is still in his prime.
On Saturday I am riding in Tokyo and the turn around time to get to Kyoto for the racing on Sunday is very short so I will be getting the Bullet Train which will be an interesting experience.
