No partying this Xmas!!
Another busy weekend ahead with eight runs on Saturday and four on Sunday. I am only doing 55kg on Sunday as the Arima Kinen is on and my agent has suggested that on Group 1 days I should only do 55kgs as my minimum, that means I have to be 54 kilos stripped, so 8st 7lbs which means I’ve had to cut down. I do have some really nice rides and some good chances so hopefully I can ride a few winners. I was delighted with Sauve Richard’s barrier draw in 2, Almond Eye the favourite is in 9 and Lys Gracieux who will go off second favourite is in 6 and they are the main protagonists.
On Christmas Day I get on a flight to Qatar, I ride in Qatar on Boxing Day (St Stephen’s Day in Ireland) and I believe I’m riding a horse called Baghdad who is a Royal Ascot winner and is by Frankel. I am then back here for the 28th December, I ride Weltreisende which means World Traveller basically in the Hopeful Stakes, 2000 metres Group 1 at Nakayama. He’s two from two unbeaten and he won a Listed race on his last start. I sat on him this morning and I’m very hopefully.
That’s it I’m very busy over the Christmas period so not much partying but I would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas. All the best OM
