My week ahead!
Another good weekend. I had one winner on Saturday and one winner yesterday on the dirt, it was one of those open class races so that was good.
Chernobyl won the big race and he weighs 550 kilos, he is one of the biggest horses in Japan. Frankie’s been on fire with two winners on Saturday and one winner yesterday. William Buick had three winners Saturday and two winners yesterday so everyone has been having some success.
I am heading to Hong Kong tomorrow on the morning flight, then Happy Valley Wednesday, so there’s five international jockey races and I’m in all of those which I’m looking forward too. I’ve picked up two or three spare rides for Tony Cruise which is great.
On Saturday I’m back to Tokyo for a Group 3, so I fly from Hong Kong Thursday night, ride in Japan Saturday, fly to Hong Kong Saturday night and then Sha Tin on Sunday. I’ve got Deirdre in the Hong Kong Vase Group 1, Persian Knight in the Hong Kong mile who I was third on in the Group 1 in Japan on his last start and I’ve picked up a few more rides as well.
There’s a lot to look forward to this week and I’m really enjoying my stint out here.
