Looking towards the Coral Eclipse weekend.......

I’m really looking forward to the weekend, on Friday I’m at Sandown and Chelmsford. Hopefully I ride a lovely horse called Riot at Sandown, he was just touched off on his first start and as John’s normally improve we’d expect this lad to follow that pattern. I then go to Chelmsford to ride a couple, Triple Distilled who was very unlucky not to win at Newmarket on his last start should go well. I also ride one for Saeed called Lost In Time, he’s a very well bred horse who is making his debut. I also like the look of Beauty of Deira for Hugo Palmer, she ran well first time out at Newbury, when second and hopefully she is in the right race.

Moving on to Saturday, which is Coral Eclipse Day. Telecaster, who is my big hope but I think Enable will be very hard to beat, the word is she is working well. I have a good chance in the sprint on Caspian Prince and I have plenty of rides for Andrew Balding as well so hopefully I can continue my good partnership with him.

I go to France on Saturday evening in preparation for Deauville on Sunday where I ride Fox Champion. He has come out of his race at Ascot really well, he obviously won the German Guineas so must have a good chance.

It’s a busy time of year so hopefully I can keep the momentum going.
