A winning return to racing

I am delighted to be back race riding and after 435 days it was great to make a winning return at Chelmsford. I really really missed the atmosphere in the weighing room and the camaraderie with the other jockeys and obviously more than anything I missed the buzz of riding winners. I was delighted to partner Flaming Rib to victory in the Dukhan Sprint in Doha. He is a really exciting horse and the plan is to go to Dubai with him now, and I hope the partnership can remain fruitful.

I have been keeping busy on the all weather tracks in Britain. I have been riding work for lots of different trainers. Its fantastic to see the young horses starting to step up their work load and the dreams really begin this time of year. I am also really pleased to be involved with some showjumpers and I’ve had some great days during my time off being able to compete nationally and internationally with many successes which I get a great thrill from.

Looking forward, I am really pleased to have some rides lined up for Dubai and I will keep you updated on my social media as we approach the Dubai World Cup meeting. Time passes very quickly this time of year, and horses develop fast so hopefully there will be plenty of positives and plenty to look forward to for the season ahead.
