Doubles for days..........

A great end to the week with doubles on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The highlight for me was on Saturday at Haydock where I rode Miss O’Connor to victory in the Listed Dick Hern Stakes for William Haggas. This filly was purchased by his son Sam from a small stable in Ireland and I think she can go on to bigger and better things.

Looking to the week ahead, I won’t be going to America to ride Hidden Message in the Del Mar Oaks on Saturday as she has 8st 7lbs and I feel the sharp turnaround and the weight may cause a few problems for me so I will be staying in the UK this week. I have no idea what the end of the week has in store for me but I am very busy throughout the week starting with Windsor tonight, Saeed’s runner looks to be my best chance. On Tuesday I am at Nottingham and I feel I have a good book of rides that day so I am hopeful I can grab a winner or two. On Wednesday I will do both Salisbury and then Kempton and on first glance I look to again have a nice book of rides so I am hopeful to a good start to the week.

I am delighted to hear the positive news on Roaring Lion and all the people down in New Zealand looking after him are doing a brilliant job and hopefully he continues to improve each day.
