Benbatl runs well for 3rd
I had a really enjoyable experience out in Saudi Arabia. The event was really well organised and the turf track rode beautifully. Michael Prosser, who is the clerk of the course at Newmarket did a great job and I am obviously familiar with the dirt track there.
Benbatl ran an incredible race to finish third in the Saudi Cup. The race was full of high quality horses, so many champions in there so I thought he did impeccably well. Hopefully he comes out of the race well and the horse again has an exciting future.
Looking to the week ahead I am at Kempton tomorrow where I ride Berlin Tango in the "Road to the Kentucky Derby'' Conditions Stakes for Andrew Balding. On Saturday I am going to be at Meydan for Super Saturday which I am looking forward too but I only have two rides there. In the Al Bastakiya, the first race on the card, I ride Emblem Storm for Satish Seemar who looks to have a good chance. My other ride is for Nicholas Bachalard in the Group 1 Jebel Hatta on a horse called Masaarr, it looks a competitive race but I hope he can give me a good run.
I am looking forward to the Cheltenham Festival, it is one of my favourites weeks of the year. I hope everyone who is going has an enjoyable week
